Seoul Coffee, which began with nostalgia for Seoul in the 80s, delivers the value of our forgotten things anew.
.
Seoul Coffee started by remembering the market streets of Seoul in the 80s when I was walking with my mom when I was a child. I would like to recall the old memories that are both Korean and Seoul. The pretzels, gnakkang, dalgona, and sweet rice that we often ate when we were in elementary school are now faint in our memories and we can only see them in the market. Nowadays, there are only sophisticated Western-style desserts, and ours is good enough.
.
In addition to silk food, when I think of old places such as faded wooden gates, nostalgic stone walls, and a path full of Mugunghwa that I often saw when I was a child, I feel good about the warm memories. I wanted to show everyone that this comfort, which is not old, but only old, is more beautiful and wonderful than modern sophistication, which is full of new things.
.
Ikseon-dong, where Seoul Coffee's main branch is located, is the oldest hanok village in Seoul, and it was very similar to my grandmother's house in Sindang-dong, which I visited on holidays while rubbing my sleepy eyes. Having lived in Seoul for more than 30 years, I feel that this alley still exists, and this is a place where the present and the past coexist together, which is also the reason why Seoul Coffee is located.
.
Not everything about Seoul Coffee will satisfy everyone, but there will definitely be things you like along with old memories. I hope that many people will have a good time in a good space as I have been thinking about it for a long time and have done my best in the process of making the first door. We will always move forward slowly with a humble attitude to protect the good culture unique to Seoul.
