Founded in 1994 by Edwin Faeh, Carhartt Work In Progress (Carhartt WIP) is based on the original American workwear brand Carhartt and has presented the Carhartt WIP collection every season since its inception. By combining the foundational American style of clothing with the subcultures that Carhartt has consistently embraced, Carhartt WIP is able to showcase its own novelty through its collections while maintaining its original classics. Since the late 1980s, counterculture forces around the world have embraced the strong image of Carhartt workwear and made it their own. Meanwhile, with the growth of its network and its strong foundations, Carhartt WIP opened its first store in London in 1997 and began to interact with cultural areas outside the apparel industry. In addition to music, he has formed the Carhartt WIP skate team, supported a wide range of artists, and launched several publications. Since 2010, he has collaborated with brands such as A.P.C, Converse, Fragment Design, Junya Watanabe, Nike, Vetements, and famous artists such as Fela Kuti, Underground Resistance, and Vestax.
