Mugyo-dong Yujeong Octopus first opened in 1966 in the octopus alley around 108 Seorin-dong, Jongno-gu The simple romance of a plate of spicy stir-fried octopus and a cup of makgeolli made the youth, represented by jeans and tongita, flock to Octopus Alley at that time. Until the late 1970s, when the octopus alley was dismantled due to downtown redevelopment, the octopus was holding on to their dreams and passions with young people. As the years passed, the romance of Octopus Alley disappeared into memories, but Mugyodong Yujeong Octopus moved to various places including Gangnam. By stubbornly protecting the unchanging taste and sincerity, we were able to continue the tradition for more than 50 years. We will keep the past half century of the Mugyo-dong Yujeong Octopus intact. In the next half century, we will be reborn anew. We will create a 100-year restaurant together with our customers.
