The Capsule

I arrived after 10 o'clock and there was a check-in paper stuck on the door so I checked in and went in. I had a bit of trouble finding the entrance, but I had to go straight from 7-Eleven and then turn right at the curve. I was assigned to the 4th floor, but the shower room in the basement was unisex, so I went down to wash up but was flustered because the men were drying their hair. I went back right away... The shower room had a lock and there were extra towels in front of the shower room. It might be a bit difficult for those with claustrophobia, but it was a good value hotel for just sleeping.

The shower room is shared on the basement level and there were towels. There was no shampoo (it was provided but we used it all up), so you should bring your own and bring your own water. It is for women only, but the bathroom is outside (emergency exit) so I was a little worried that someone from another male-only floor might find out and come up. The condition of the individual capsule room was fine. I woke up from time to time in the middle of my sleep because I was worried about making noise (breathing, menstruation, etc.). If you are concerned about this, be careful. Still, for this location and price... it was great value for money.

It's perfect for an overnight stay. I'll use it every time I go to Seoul.

I just like to sleep. There is no cleaning or maintenance other than the inside of the capsule.

It was a great value accommodation for sleeping alone. If you search for Iregeumbak and come here, it's right next door. I think you should re-register on Naver Map. It was a women-only floor on the 3rd floor. When you get off the elevator, there are capsule spaces inside the lockers on the right. The lockers were spacious and the capsule spaces were more comfortable than expected. The bathroom was located by opening the inner door and going out, and the shower room is on the basement floor. You can open the door and shower in your own space. If there was something a little disappointing, it would be that the sound of raising and lowering the stand in the capsule space was loud and bothersome. The charging cable was only a micro pin, but I thought it would be good to have a multi-line. I went on a cold day and it was cold inside, so I wore a mask and slept with a hot pack. Since I only sleep here, those who are sensitive to small noises in everyday life might be concerned, but it seems safe and well-managed, so I think I'll use it again next time.

It was my first time there and I went after midnight so I couldn't find the location and wandered around for 20-30 minutes. For a moment, I felt like I was lost and I was so scared. ㅠ ㅠThere was no time to ask and it was a bit difficult. The map gave the wrong directions...It kept saying there was a wall but that was the address. Then I found out that I had to take a side road behind it to get to the entrance...If you take the side road, it said you'll be further from your destination...The address is correct but the entrance is in the back~I understood it later.ㅋㅋAside from that, everything was good. It was very quiet and warm and it was nice to shower and rest. The stairs were a bit inconvenient to go up and down and it was so hot that it was stuffy but I turned on the exhaust fan and it was okay. The bedding was comfortable as the reviews said. I had a great rest with great value for money. Satisfied!! I'll go again when I come to Seoul.

I don't know why they give you the upper floor even though the lower floor is empty. It was hard to move because of the ladder structure. The shower room felt like a unisex room, so it was a bit disappointing. And the shower room smelled strongly of ammonia. The price was cheap, so it was good.

I turned off the lights to go to sleep and got bitten by 6 mosquitoes in the 2 hours. There were two mosquitoes before I went to bed so I caught them and went to sleep, but they keep coming in through the gaps even with the door locked. I slept from 11:30 to 1:00 and woke up from mosquito bites. I caught 3 more and turned the lights back on to go back to sleep, but I got bitten again and woke up. In the end, I caught the mosquitoes again and couldn't turn the lights off and went back to sleep, and when I was getting ready to go out in the morning, I caught two more mosquitoes. I didn't open the door once while I was catching 7-8 mosquitoes, but they kept coming in. There were a ton of mosquitoes in the bathroom too. People are coming and going even in the middle of the night so I don't recommend this to people who are sensitive.

I wish there were more cost-effective accommodations like this in our country. The only downside is that the stairs are too perpendicular when going up to the second floor, so it's a bit uncomfortable, but it's in a good location and cheap, so I highly recommend it to people who are just going to sleep.

There is no water purifier, so it is recommended to buy a bottle of water from a convenience store before checking in. If you are only planning to sleep for a day, it is recommended. Some people said it was far from the subway station, but not at all! I often travel alone and walk, so it wasn't too hard to find. The location of the hotel wasn't scary. It's only a 3-5 minute walk to Chungmuro Station, so there are places to eat and cafes. The bedding was clean. There's one luggage storage per person. The staff were super friendly!!!!! It could be because I only slept, but it was really nice. I'll come back here again next time.

I visited The Capsule again for a concert! As always, it was comfortable. However, I think it would be better to separate the floors for foreign customers.

The worst... I was on the first floor and from the entrance I was like 'Huh? Is this the right place...?' but the reception area was full of a dirty feeling... They put a bed in what looked like a boiler room, but if it's called Cube Hotel... I was really guided to the bed and didn't even touch it, I just left and found another place to sleep. I stopped by to sleep comfortably alone and I liked it^-^ It was good value for money, it was okay to leave my luggage, and there was a separate shower room, so I was satisfied.

Unmanned check-in.. There was a paper in front of the door and it was a system where you checked in with that.. Maybe because it was summer, it was very hot when the capsule door was closed.. Maybe because there were a lot of foreigners, it was a bit noisy and there was always someone in the bathroom so I had to go to a different floor..

I've been there a few times, so I made a reservation to use it this time as well, but I didn't receive a text message for non-face-to-face check-in on the day, so I almost wouldn't have been able to enter if I hadn't seen the text message the last time I used it (I was really flustered because I went in the middle of the night). Since I didn't receive a text message, I didn't know where my seat was (there are separate floors for men and women), so I checked the floors I stayed on before and slept in an empty seat, but the cleaning of the basement shower room and the condition of the towels were all bad. I wonder if the manager changed, but it was cost-effective and bad. The good thing about this place is that the door locks when you sleep and there are two large storage lockers.

I recommend that Koreans avoid going there unless absolutely necessary. It's extremely unclean, with hair/white powder and dead skin cells. The bedding smells strongly of oil hormones, and you have to sleep with a towel as a pillow and long-sleeved, long pants... I went to shower 6 times and twice my shampoo wasn't replenished, so I had to change clothes and take a different shower. They don't sell disposable products and they don't refill them well. Mosquitoes are also a big deal.

It's randomly assigned, so you have to be lucky. The ladder is vertical when going up and down, so it's really uncomfortable (this is the biggest con). And the entrance is small, so you'll often bump into the wall next to you.

It wasn't bad for the price! I recommend it if you're looking for a place where you can really just sleep‼️The bedding wasn't uncomfortable either, so I plan on using it again next time☺️

There was a shower room in the basement and a guest room and bathroom on the first floor, so I was able to get a good night's sleep.
