The four-story hotel building, designed by German architectural firm Geotheland and built in Sogong-dong in the center of Seoul, has been the political, economic, and cultural center of Korea from the Japanese colonial period to the modern era, and was renovated into a 20-story modern building in 1970. It has 18 floors above ground and 1 basement floor, with 453 rooms, and facilities include a restaurant, a large banquet hall equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, a small and medium-sized banquet hall, a health club, a swimming pool, a sauna, a business center, a beauty salon, and a parking lot that can accommodate 500 cars at the same time.
